Terms of Service

// last updated 6 september 2026

scrapcode.network is a personal side project, offered free of charge, with no company behind it and no guarantees attached. By using it you agree to what follows. If you would rather not, don't sign in — there is nothing else to opt out of.

What this is

A small set of hobby applications running on one server. They may change, break, or be shut down at any time. Nothing here is a commercial product and none of it is supported in the way a paid service would be.

Your account

You sign in with Google, so your account is only as secure as that account — keep it that way. You must be at least 13 years old. Don't share your session, and don't try to access anything you haven't been given access to.

Invite links are keys

An invite link grants whoever holds it membership of a map. Treat one like a password rather than a URL: don't post it publicly, and expect that anyone you send it to can pass it on. Links can be revoked and they expire on their own.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to the people you have given access to. Nothing you upload is used to promote the site, sold, or used to train anything.

You are responsible for what you upload, and you confirm you have the right to upload it. Please don't put up anything unlawful, infringing, or built to harm someone.

Acceptable use

Don't:

Accounts and content that break these can be removed without notice. On a project this size that judgement is one person's.

No warranty, and a real warning about data

The service is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind — no promise that it works, that it stays available, or that it is fit for anything in particular.

Back up anything you care about. Backups here are taken nightly and kept on the same machine, which means they survive a bad deploy but not a lost server. Data can be lost. Please treat anything stored here as a copy, never the only copy.

Limits

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including lost data or lost time. Since the service is free, there is no refund and no service credit to give.

Ending it

You can stop at any time — ask for deletion (see the Privacy Policy) or revoke access from your Google account. The service may likewise be discontinued at any time; if that is planned rather than sudden, notice will go to the email address on your account, with time to get your maps out.

Changes

These terms can change, and the date at the top will say when they last did. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
